Orla Tinsley is an award-winning writer, educator, activist and multimedia artist. They hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. They have been named National Young Person of the Year, Woman of the Year and Medical Journalist of the Year. Their documentary, Warrior, about their double lung transplant was nominated for a New York Film and TV Award in 2019 and their first book, Salty Baby, was nominated for an Irish Book Award. In 2019 they received the Public Relations Institute of Ireland Award for Excellence in Storytelling. They teach Creative Writing at the Irish Writers Center, Columbia University and at the link above.
